We broadcast in two ways – on the air and through a live stream on the internet.
To listen to our on-air broadcast, tune your radio to 102.9 FM. Unfortunately as we are only allowed to use low power from our transmitter, the signal is only available over part of Lopez Island (about 1/3 of the island is covered). The signal is most easily picked up on a car radio. To listen on a home radio you will probably have to use an external antenna aimed at the transmitter location. If that doesn’t work, you can listen to the broadcast on our live internet stream.
Our broadcast is live-streamed on the internet. There are several ways to listen to the live stream depending on what device you are using. On a PC or Mac you can click on one of the menu items in the ‘Listen now’ menu above and select which player you want to use (normally iTunes on a Mac or Windows Media Player on a PC).
To listen on a mobile device, you will need to install an app to listen. We recommend XiiaLive, which is available free on Google Play and in the Apple Store.
When you have XiiaLive installed, tap on Favorites and then on the button, enter the playlist URL http://www.kloi.org/kloi.m3u and save. (Note that if you set the radio directory to UberStations, KLOI can also be found via the search feature)
